IMO you can sell some of your nice parts like fogs and recoupe from the accident financially. Did you talk to the Escalade owner or your insurance to get reimbursed for the value of the car?

If you were stopped and the guy behind you hit you, I believe he should of the costs of a replacement car of the same value or pay you the value of the car if your insurance doesn't cover it.

The Cadillac's responsible for all 5 cars involved, he caused the whole pile-up, and believe it or not, I'm getting about $1,300 for the car. After injuries and everything I'll probably be lucky to have 2K in my pocket.

Can't even buy a replacement car for that.

Devastation just about describes how I felt. My injuries are nothing for the force of the crash. Just imagined being stopped and having that cadillac hit you doing 70. and going under another car. Airbag saved my life, no broken neck.

The cadillac does have some sever frontal damage, however most is to the frame since the brush guard directed all the force through it.

I'm shocked to the see the entire passenger compartment completely intact; very impressive for a car designed 20+ years ago! You would certainly have had less injuries in a modern car, but it sounds like you've fared well.

I hope your leg injury isn't permanent. I'm glad to see you can still operate a clutch pedal (Prelude SH)!

THIS. The passenger compartment looks barely phased; I bet the rear doors were stuck shut, but the passenger compartment didn't buckle at all.

Were you able to open the driver's door after the crash?
