Just curious man - I always thought MDF was the go-to material for building boxes. I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can get unwanted resonance inside the box if you used plywood

alex77 is pretty far from me since im in Montreal and he's close to Vancouver. But yeah this summer i'll try to come down to east coast meet.

Birch 7ply is as strong as mdf lighter has a better sound leaves less saw dust. Its a better material to use. It just dosnt get used a lot because it cost more then mdf. it has a really really good sound and its a hard wood not plywood
