ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Needle won't go past 40 MPH?

What's up everyone. While I was driving around town today, I hit a bump in a road and my cb7 bottomed out a little bit...Then at the stop light I noticed that my needle gauge stayed stuck at 40mph! My car wasn't even moving! When the light turned green I started to drive slowly and then the needle went back down. I then drove to about 60mph but the speed needle wouldnt go past 40mph???? It just stays at 40 and then goes back down when i am slowing down...Does anyone know what is causing this problem ? When i bottomed out , could that have caused the problem??? Any help would be really appreciated.

ps. I searched everywhere and I still can't find an answer.

i bottomed out hella times and mine never did that lol .... maybe needle itself on the gauge face or something that triggered the speed sensor

If you're running aftermarket faces, I gotta agree with ^ and ^^. I had a set come loose in my Corolla one morning, but it hung up at 57. I jumped on the freeway and started working my way through traffic, after I passed the seventh or eighth car, I thought "Why is everyone so slow today? Idiots." After I passed a few more, I thought "Man, my revs sound high this morning, WTF?" (No tach). As soon as I let off the gas and the needle didn't drop, I figured it out.

If OEM faces, you might look have knocked something loose, check your wiring harnesses, it could be a bad connection.

I would recommend two of three things to either see if the speed sensor is connected all the way with no loose wires or try going to a junk yard and pull a gauge out of another accord to see if yours is messed up other than that I don't know what to tell u besides good luck.
