Read this and tell me it doesn't at least bring a smirk to your face:
You can't, can you?
So, in that light, I propose the following rule:
All posts made in reply to or otherwise immediately following a post that does not contain an analogy, must contain an analogy pertinent to the topic of the post.
I propose this rule in an effort to bring more smirks to more faces, and to bring a generally more positive attitude to the forum. The process by which I hypothesize this will work is three fold:
The specifics could be tweaked; perhaps every other post is a bit much to demand. I chose it as it was easy to describe concretely and in simple terms.

I propose this rule in an effort to bring more smirks to more faces, and to bring a generally more positive attitude to the forum. The process by which I hypothesize this will work is three fold:
- Creating posts will require more effort on the part of the poster, as concocting clever analogies is not always a simple task. This should correlate with the content of the whole post receiving more attention and thought, thereby creating better, more meaningful content overall.
- Upon reading the analogies, as well as the generally better structured and well thought out posts, readers will receive a better sense of enjoyment and fulfillment, which will not only brighten their day and daily lives, but will also inspire them to reciprocate.
- Lastly, users will actively seek out thoughtful and humorous analogies, championing them in their signatures as a constant reminder for all to see.
The specifics could be tweaked; perhaps every other post is a bit much to demand. I chose it as it was easy to describe concretely and in simple terms.
