ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Best Spring for Koni STR.T Orange

Hello everyone, I currently have a 1990 DX Accord, just put new Pads and Rotors on and I am thinking that it’s about time to upgrade my suspension parts too (riding kind of rough but not too bad). I’ve been reading around on the forums for a few hours and can’t seem to find a good spring pairing recommendation to go with Koni STR.T Orange Strut/Shock. I am going for a more comfort oriented ride, and don’t plan on lowering more than 1”. (Hence STR.T vs. Yellows) It’s my understanding that reusing the OEM springs isn’t the best idea, that being said would doing so compromise ride comfort/safety if paired with STR.T’s? Not sure what my timeline is for this project but also plan on throwing in a ball joint kit at the same time as the suspension upgrades!

Currently using the OEM 14” Steel Wheels with Hub Cabs. Planning on getting some 16” wheels in the future. This question might be kind of rhetorical but will there be any compatibility issues with this Suspension setup & 16” wheels?

Stock springs will work just fine with the STR.T shocks. If you want to go slightly lower, H&R Sport springs are a very good option. Slight drop, mild stiffness increase.

As long as your 16” wheels are of a reasonable width and offset, there will be no issues. The overall wheel/tire diameter will be roughly the same as your current setup as long as you get properly sized tires.

I have those struts & went with Tein Tein H. Tech Springs

      Drop in inches: (F: -1.5 R: -1.1)

      Rates: F:224lbs R:151lbs

Not too high, not too low. Rides very smooth, not like coilovers. I enjoy the
      combination very much.
      Keep Pushing..

Yeah, that’s another very good near-stock option.
