    HCoupe : 1992 Accord EX

When I first got my completely stock CB7 (May-2012):

P13 ECU from HMO back in '04 just happened to be socketed, had Joe @ LoCash Racing chip it, with a dyno tune he had saved. Also Deleted the EGR and knock sensor.
    M2S4 case, M2F4 1-4, .685 fifth, carbon synchros and a Quaife LSD
    Act 8LB flywheel
    Exedy KHC03

I love what you did! It's a real sleeper, I miss my old coupe

So are you keeping it stock height? Word of advise I'm lowered and wish I could be stock height again

Damn, nice new pickup! Did something happen to the 'lesser' H?

Love the coupe, btw, the polished stock wheels are a classy touch. If you're still on the fence about lowering it, the 2" drop provided by most popular springs still gives you useable ground clearance for speed bumps and winter driving. It'll visually close up that fender gap without it looking like your car is lowered compared to other, more modern, cars on the road. As long as you don't drive it like a truck, thinking you can take everything at speed. I never experienced bottoming out, at least...

Thanks. Nothing, it runs strong. I was gonna go all out on the paint and body at a friends shop and drop a grand on materials and have him just spray it. But, a different friend and I have been talking about how we think the JDM engine well is gonna run dry soon, especially the OBD1 H22A. At first I wanted a spare HMO OBD1 H22A as a coffee table, but them blue top H23As are a little easier on the wallet. In the end I went with my brothers mantra with cars " If you are gonna be a bear, be a grizzly" and his engine that he has been hoarding. I went this route because of the rarity and from the factory reliability. That fresh HMO beauty is setting me back. It's going down one of threes ways; replace, reimburse or my current H and a grand, right when my tax return comes in. That a$$hole left it at my house a month ago, It's sitting in my front room, I stare at it everyday. Now I'm gathering the appropriate components for the swap, luckily it'll cost me less than $300 for all the parts. I should have it in my car the week I get my tax return, and dyno tuned no later than summer. Also I got a nice digital camera. After the swap, I'll upload pics of how I prepare the engine and the swap itself.

                    So it begins.

It was ready to come out at 7:30, but my friend couldn't show up till 8:30.

Time to clean, my power steering system was leaking everywhere. Hot water, Palmolive, and lots of toothbrushes.

I brought this pile(minus the rack) of metal to a car wash. I used engine degreaser, toothbrushes, and then the pressure sprayer.

                    Lol

                    Much better.

                    Here she is cleaned up.

                    It's pretty now.

Had the Header welded up, to fix the leaks. Grinded off all eye lids and applied multiple coats of high temp black spray paint.

Wrapped the header with the remaining wrap from the first time I did it. Only wrapped #2 down, but I did have enough left over to wrap the other runner at the bottom of the header.

Switched to the Lx/Dx rear mount, with a rear mount insert from losiracer2.

Bought a rebuilt rack, replaced all the rubber P.S. hoses, minus the three closest to the V.S.S.(they'll be replaced soon).

                        The engine.

                        Thanks!

Finally found an OEM coil bracket

                        Manual tension conversion

Just one wipe, cleaned that area.

Someone went through the front end of this engine right before it went to the wreckers.

                        Did add the retainer.

Had to find an USDM H22aX timing mount.

I replaced the rear main seal, the oil cooler seal, the two coolant hoses to the oil cooler, and modified the wiring harness. I'm keeping it OBD1 and will be replacing certain parts later on, rather quickly, because of financial constraints.

                        Parts pillage time.

                        new KHC03.

Rosko Racing components, great experience with Shawn!

Really nice parts. Also put a slight bend on the fuel line.

                        New heater hoses.

Back on the road in 7 days, waiting on parts ate up a couple days. It runs awesome, no cel, idles great(F*ck a fast idle valve), 3rd and 4th gear vtec pulls sound amazing! I need to "loosen" the exhaust, replace the last of the P.s. rubber hoses, actually look into properly pinning a jumper harness for the throttle body MAP sensor, replace an axle, and get an alignment to straighten out the wheel.

                              Thanks!
Here's some new pictures with the fogs I got form losiracer2, I'll try to take more in the daylight.

                              HID Hi-beams are bright.

I did a poor job on the fog light holes, it'll remedy when I do the paint and body. I'm still laughing at lunacy of getting those 6 HID ballasts to fit in the bumper behind the fogs and bumper lens, but one of them may rub a hole in the wiper fluid reservoir, so that could suck for many different reasons...

Upside to not lowering a car is, ground clearance, yay. I do drive it like a truck and take speed bumps at 15, 20, and I'm always surprise that those runners are symmetrical. also the splash guard will be on soon.
