ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Caliper upgrade prop valve

I've read thru quite a lot of threads talking about the RL 4 piston caliper upgrade and even came across one where someone asked if the prop valve was changed out, but I haven't come across an answer.
If I upgrade the calipers what prop valve should I use?

You will be fine with the stock one but I would recommend the integra 40/40 for a more even braking application.

Thanks Grumpy, would you know what the stock prop valve is by chance?

I believe it is 30/30. However if you have ABS, the proportional valve is built into the module, so you would have to do an ABS delete and use LX lines, if I remember correctly.

Also if you do get the 40/40 valve do not open it up and try and flip the bracket, if you do it will leak.

I just acquired two ex coupe's. One is a 93 and the other is a 91. The 93 is a donor for the 91... I'm not too familiar with which models have what options, yet. But I appreciate the heads up on the bracket.

did the 40/40 myself and suggest just leave it float where all your lines meet up to it. So long as it does not bang into the side of the bay you're okay.

I'd probably make up a bracket at the shop in order to mount it somehow. Not sure what it all looks like yet, still very new to the CB7, but when I get around to it I'll find a way to mount it. Thanks

You do not need a bracket..all the HARD lines keep it in place.
3K+ miles on my ABS 40/40 prop valve mod with no issues.
I ran all new lines that I bent myself from vatozone!

just make sure you run the hard lines correctly, regarding
to which wheel, & the fittings for the actual brake master
                cylinder.
                Keep Pushing..
