Are you having to build the box in your trunk? I'm selling my old box and sub. Got a line on an old school Orion HCCA 12D for 150. IF I get it, I've already got a box design in mind (took it off a website).

No I already built my box then put it in. This ones more for spl then daily like my last box...it has changeable ports and is designed by me. I build and desing all my boxes this ones crazy long so the subs are farthest away from the port. And it small so the second chamber is bigger. I build my sub boxes so they work like a bandpass in my trunk...they get louder that way....

Lol yah there good subs 4" coil I believe... they get down.... that's not a bad looking box. Its braced pretty well...

The woofer I'm looking at looks JUST like this one. Dude wants 150 for it.

Not bad for 150$ make shure you check that it works before buying it...

Will do. It's in a box, that'll stay in there long enough to make sure it works and then it'll be taken out and the old box will get smashed. I'll need to find some 1 inch MDF. Home Depot only has 3/4

Just use 2 sheets of 1/2"

Thought about that. I'm not sure that I'm going to get that Orion woofer or not now. I traded my old ass Galaxy S straight across for a Boston Acoustic G5 in a box and a Sony 1000 watt amp. The amp and box are going to be sold, I'll keep the woofer and run with that... for now.

I have 2 15's I can sell ya if you want something loud.... not a big fan of Sony lol it's to bad your not getting the Orion....

I'm not a fan of Sony either, but it was included in the deal. I may still get the Orion. I'm gonna see if I can sell the Sony amp and JL sub as a package deal. If that works out, I'll definitely get the Orion sub.

Hooked up that G5 last night, I think the sub is shot. It was playing for about 10 seconds and blew both fuses on my amp. I had it wired at 4 ohm. So, now to decide whether or not to get a recone kit and fix it or??

No clue.... the world record holder for usaci trunk 0-1000 has the same amps different subs. His have smaller magnets and a 3" coil these have a 4" coil and a bigger motor I hope to get good numbers. But I need to get more power to the amps first....
