ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    best junkyard finds??

just curious here, whats the best deal you've ever run across in a junkyard/pick and pull before? I'm going to pick up an h22a4 for 150 bucks in a few days,it's got 133k on it as well, getting a 5spd from a cb7 until a 5spd prelude rolls through, but its only 80,with a core of 30,core for the engine is 50,so for 150 ill have a h22 in my cb7 with a 5spd which is great considering that's what I paid for the whole car,i think I got a steal I also found a bell tech c-notch,lowering springs, flip kit,and shocks for my 91 Chevy for 120 bucks at the same place! As well as a few sets of wheels for the accord and truck,i think I priced it all at around 450,for almost 3500 worth of parts lol I cant be the only person that enjoys looking through all these forgotten gems and sifting through the seats for all the change of the PO xD

I picked up a 1LE brake kit from a 3rd gen Camaro in a Houston JY with the help of Jarrett, I paid under $75 on a very sought after system button those cars when found used it runs over $750. It might sound ridiculous for that type of price on a factory brake system but numbers for said kit were very limited and required you to not have A/C to have the brake package, yes it's ridiculous that you either had A/C or an upgraded brake system but not both.

I found a real LT4 intake manifold at the Hiram-Clarke LKQ for $19. The best part is that it was just sitting in the back of some other car. I didn't have to do any work. Sold it for over $400.

I had a 69 chevy C10 short bed I was building years ago and while pulling some goodies from another C10 at the Ontario CA pap (before lkq bought em all) I found $97 cash folded up under the passenger carpet. Paid for all my parts and lunch. I'd say a good 60% of my CB7 is from lkq.

Jarrett keep the eyes peeled for a T-Ram intake for the TPI model Firehawk, if any of you guys ever find one consider yourself a jackpot winner since you can easily bring in over 3 grand for it.

I grabbed a set of sprint blues and basically brand new KYB GR2's from a junkyard for $60. Sold the springs 10 years later for $400 or $500.

My best junkyard find was the whole car. Bought it off a friend for €75, scrap price. Running, driving, barely any rust and the interior was like new!
