Someone is trying to log into my account

This is the email I received this morning. Why would somebody try to do this?

Dear Hostile,

Someone has tried to log into your account on CB7Tuner Forums with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 117.169.1.175

That's been happening lately. That IP runs to a well known forum spammer out of China.

At least this sight is I top of things. I'm not sure what they can do if the do get into my account any way.

I tried to find the thread to give you a link but couldn't. It was within the last few weeks. Anyhow, their method is they just keep trying to guess your password. So far I think they have only successfully done it once. They use that persons account to create a thread and post a link to a cheap Chinese parts website. It seems they try to "hack" accounts that have not been logged into in a while. Or that's what has been noticed so far.
