BB6 Rear Lip, anyone used one???

Many of you know about my situation with the BB6 Prelude parts car I had. I'm currently trying to finish up my dash and center console swap, but recently came up with an idea.

I kept everything off the BB6 that i wanted, and threw everything else, including the body, in the scrap dumpster. One item I kept was the rear cover. I never paid much attention to it until the other day. The rear oem lip is detachable. Only thing I would change about my car the way it is now is the rear bumper...not 100% happy with the way it looks. I'm wondering if anyone has used the prelude rear lip on a cb7 and if you can post up pics. I still have my oem rear cover and will probly take it to work with me next week to see what could possibly be done. Pics anyone?

    Thanks

matched them both up the other day....not lookin' good. I still love the look of the bb6 bumper and lip, so who knows...maybe I'll figure out a way to mold them together. Work is too busy right now to attempt anything anyhow.

yea, pretty much both...The contours are probably too far off to make something flow nicely. Back to the drawing board!

Not compatible. I've got both bumpers in my basement and looks like a no go. But if anything changes, I'll be sure to post a build thread for it.

                          New idea

We had a wrecked Toyota, Camry I think, come into the shop last week. It was hit in the rear and had the factory ground effects on it. Since the original lip was damaged slightly a replacement was ordered. I kept the (barely) damaged lip and was fitting it up to my oem bumper tonight. It looks like it could work and turn out pretty sweet with a bit of work. I may give it a shot and see what happens.

If I decide to do this mod, I'll start a new thread on it showing what was involved to make it happen. Cross your fingers!

Here's a quick sample pic of the lip in question

Side lengths are good, width is good, height is good. Big issue is the location of the exhaust cut out. it is approximately 4-5 inches too far to the right. It would have to be removed and sectioned into the correct location.

                            We'll see what happens!
