ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    ALB/ABS motor removal

    Hey all
seen this thread is for the CB7 my Dads is a CB3 are they the same
    as http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=203346
also is it in the same location under the battery tray?

how easy is it to remove from the top of the car?

    Thanks in advance

also we put a loop on the plug on the passenger side (UK) did not come up with any codes however the engine management light stays on.

the issue we have is the pump/motor is noisy

The one in that thread had been removed from a wrecked car that was completely disassembled for parts. I'm pretty sure I had the engine and virtually everything else above it removed first, so I can't tell you how easy (or not) it is to remove in an otherwise complete car.

OEM service manual indicates you just need to remove the battery tray to gain access for removal.

I looked at my paper copy of the OEM service manual.

Avcar, Sounds like what you have is ABS pump over run. Getting the pump out is not too hard. I fixed my pump over run like a year ago so my recollection might not be perfect. Pull the battery and the tray below it. Then you can access the pump. There should be 3 12mm bolts holding it down. Use a long 3/8 extension and you can get to them easier. You need to have something ready to plug the fluid line comming down to it also. Once you get the line off and plugged. Then just unplug the harness plug and it should come out.
You gotta crack this thing open and get down to the sliders inside. Hand sand the sliders and the openings till they move in and out freely. Then reassemble and reinstall. You probably need to bleed the ABS also.
