    New Suspension and shoes!

    ok so i just got done tearing apart my old suspension setup to sell to a buddy to pay for my new stuff. let me know what you guys think!

    The old setup was Skunk2 springs with KYB GR-2 struts, motegi mr-7 wheels painted bronze, and brand new Fusion HRi 205/55/16 tires. sold the springs and wheels and tires for $550.

    New setup is gonna be Megan racing coil-overs with the same struts I had before (GR-2's are still in awesome shape) with Drag DR-19 17" gold wheels (42 offset) and cooper ZPT 205/40/17's.

    The main reason i got new stuff is because i wanna go lower than the skunk2's 2" in the front and 1.8" in the rear. im lookin for like a 2.25"f and 2.5"r.

    let me hear some input!

            17's will go well with GR2's, but Coil-Overs will not go well with GR2's.
            Just don't go crazy on lowering it.

              do you think 2.25"f and 2.5"r is to much? gotta consider there is little weight in the rear (my trunk is gutted).

                I donno about gr-2s at all. But i do have koni yellows with megan racing coilovers, and i have 17s. The coilovers are definetly a bouncy ride. If i were to DD my cb7 i cant say that i would stick with the megan racing coilovers. But since i dont i can deal with it. And since im lower, and have the stiffer springs i do corner very well. It depends on what your main goal is for.

                    GR-2s suck, I know this. I have them.

                    Koni yellows are a win!

                    And the rims you want, +42 offset? Too much offset IMO.

                      Why does everyone rag on GR-2's?

                        They are stock replacement shocks. They're GOOD stock replacement shocks. But for anything beyond stock spring rates there are better options for the $$$.

                          Everything is a " stock " replacment shock because they are all replacing stock shocks. I dont agree with that they are definetly better then stock shocks even if the manufacture says " stock replacment. The first thing they have over stock shocks is they are nitrogen filled which keeps the oil from foaming inside. Plus you can put on different springs without the risk of blowing them because they are designed for any spring unlike stock struts.
