ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    no spark issue

Hello all. Thanks for coming. I'm having an issue with my cb7. It died on me coming home from work. Just shut off. It has fuel pressure and compression but no spark. I did the test with the light and the only igniter is working so I purchased a new coil and still nothing. I checked the ground by the thermostat housing and it's good. I checked if there's power to the dizzy and none. The fuses are good and I checked that relay under the steering wheel and it's good. What will cause no power to the dizzy. I also hooked my test light to the pos battery to check ground and there's no ground in the plug for the coil or dizzy. I'm stumped. Please help. Thank you again.

Well. After all the bull I found that the actual wire harness that goes to the dizzy was bad. Had to rewire it my self and replaced the dizzy because I was frustrated and threw it across the yard. I got good distance on it. Lol. Anyways. Any info on a coil over plug conversion? I thought I saw info about that here.

im fairly new on here but I have not seen anything diy related to coil on plug related. im not too familiar with them myself. I don't know if it makes a difference that our cars came sohc unless swapped but I believe theres a write up on h-t pertaining to a coil on plug conversion, and on g2ic, not for cbs particularly but maybe it will get you going in the right direction? hope that helped. let us know what you discover though. I think a cop conversion would be a great mod for the community

Theres a few things about it. pretty sure you need a new cap with the correct coil plug and obviously an external coil. theres something here, just search it. dont use the forums search tool, it sucks. type in "external coil site:cb7tuner.com" and it will give you results from cb7tuner ranked by Relevance. works way better.
sold! But here's my build thread for those interested.
