Did you get the RPM window switch I sent? It should've shown up by now!

As for your idle, did you set your TPS voltage with the new throttle body?

I did get the device. I installed and and failed to get it working. I got a call back from the company tech support this morning and now I know what I did wrong. Should be working on Saturday. I have not reset the TPS voltage. But I did just search this site and look in my factory manual for a procedure. Didn't find one there but I found some videos on youtube.

The rpn actuator doohicky worked once I figured it out. Actually the folks that made it, Intellitronix, had great tech support. I was having some trouble, I left them a vm on a sunday got a call on monday and they set me straight. The dip switches were a little off on the rpm settings too. But a little testing and adjusting sorted that out.

We aren't going to have time for the cam before this race. So I just have to get the tires and finish a few misc items before May 25. That's good because this is going to be a busy month anyway.

I forgot to post about our race results. We went to Thunderhill and raced on the full 5 mile track. We were in the top 40 for most of the race. We were actually in the top 30 until our first driver change. But on sunday afternoon the clutch went out on us and we threw in the towel and got out of there early. By the end of the race we were in about 73rd. It was epic and fun. We did have more power for sure. Since then, nothing. We towed it back. We need to swap the clutch but have not done a thing.

Thoughts on what clutch to get?

Super cool! Glad it was fun.

Iíve had really good luck with the XTD stage 3 and 4 clutches on Nissan RB engines and KA24ís, so I am personally going to get a stage 5 xxtreme XTD clutch (sprung) in a few months when I swap my transmission for an h22 trans.

I recommend the XTD clutches a lot and havenít seen any bad results except where someone didnít adjust their clutch pedal freeplay once and was preloading the pressure plate. Any clutch will be ruined by that, though.

Here is how our clutch died, probably from shifting to fast and hard

In the second photo see how the tabs that connect the friction disk have broken. I believe it failed first here, then the friction material must have delaminated

Iím sure extra heat, aggression and more heat would fatigue those thin pieces!

I do enjoy my stage 4 clutch master 6 puck sprung with the upgraded pressure plate.

My team mate who bought it couldn't recall what brand it was, he just remembered that it was "stage 1". I found a part number on it and googled it. It was FX brand which was also called F1. It's basically a chinese ebay clutch. No wonder.

The copies of the copies. XTR, FX, F1... there are more, for sure! They usually donít post up clamping forces or torque ratings. Just ďstagesĒ. Which makes you wonder whatís in the box! Ha ha

Over the course of many weeks we got the clutch in. It's a big job. We don't have a hoist so this is a rough sketch.

Disassemble the right side suspension and get the axle out. Remove the frame member underneath that connects the front and back cross members. Disassemble the left side suspension enough to get the axle out. Remove the half-shaft. Remove the intake to but not including the throttle body. Disconnect all of the wires and linkages that connect to the trans including all of the things that are anchored to things that are attached to the trans. Take out the starter motor. disconnect the upper radiator hose. Disconnect the trans mount, support the motor/trans with a jack.
Now you can start taking off the bolts in the bell housing, and the support brackets including the bracket from the rear trans mount. Wrap something around the clutch slave cylinder to keep the piston from pushing out. Once you get the trans disconnected pull it out so you get the shaft out and try to lower it out the bottom. OH DAMN!! look the clutch line is connected to the top of the trans!! undo that bracket quick!! It does not fit easily. You have to work it around and back and forth and eventually get it on the ground. Remove the pressure plate, remove the totally destroyed clutch, the flywheel looks pretty good resurfacing is for race teams with money. THEN in the immortal words of Mr. Chilton, "Installation is the reverse of removal."
You'll also find that the trans fluid comes out so that'll need replacing.

Last weekend we got it 95% back in and yesterday my son and I got the trans fluid in and the wheels on and drove it out of the way so we could start working on his first car which is a 1991 Volvo 240 Wagon 5-speed. We managed to get the front brake lines replaced and the brakes bled.

Curious on why y’all pulled the intake manifold?

Not the manifold, just from the air filter box to and not including the throttle body.
