ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Nah, it doesn't make much of a difference.

If u want a bigger difference, upgrade subs and/or amp.

No. That's basically just a number that hu manufacturers display to help sell their products. But if it's a better brand then that's different.

Those numbers are peak power outputs. The actual output of those head units is probably between 7 and 15 watts rms.

I'd use a separate 4 channel amp for your door and rear shelf speakers, then either a mono or 2 channel amp for you subs

Adding a separate amplifier to your door and rear shelf speakers will give them more power, so you'll get better sound out of them.

Having to turn all the levels on your head unit up as well as the volume to get any sound out of your speakers will in the long run damage the voice coils in your speakers, causing them to blow.

yeah a little difference in watts like that isnt gonna make a difference. to get any difference your gonna need to change something other than the headunit

the extra 2-8w. rms is really not worth it, consider a upgrade in wires, better battery, replacement alternator, or even a capacitator instead.

When you have your speakers wired directly to the radio, thats when the 45w, 52w comes into play. If you have amps, that 45w, and 52w dont make a difference.

8w is noticeable in both scenarios. We're talking like less than 1db difference which is inaudible to most people.

Check out Alpine's 400 watt 4 channel amplifiers. I've heard really good things about the quality of output and the slimness of it.

It won't be enough to make a difference. Just get some good speaker and it will sound better. There are also extra settings on certain head units where you can adjust the low, mids and highs that really help.

look at the RMS...its around 18-22 watts a channel. dont worry about it.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
