"Black History Month is nothing more than a celebration of SOFTER NEGROES that white people don't feel threatened by. Which means deep down there is more concern for not upsetting white people then there is for black people learning our history."H22 Prelude VTEC 92-96 200 161 10.6:1 87 90 DOHC VTEC 2157 JDM

something told me not to bring this thread over here...... a white history month....really.... you do realize thats regular history right... or have you not been paying attention in class. i'm sure 90% of the people can tell me who harness electricity or who invented the telephone. but how many can tell who invented the the traffic light or the blood bank?? hell i can name all the leaders of the roman empire and most of the royal family of france and england. so white history can have the rest of the year..... and as far as the other races. i would love to learn more about them.

I have nothing against any race and never will because I'm not that kinda person. Your original statement is straight disrespect to an entire race. You don't see us coming into your house on cinco de mayo saying fuck mexicans......regardless of your views you must learn to respect all people in general regardless of skin color and culture. /rant1993 Accord LX - Sold

In which case Thanksgivings Day is nothing more than a celebration of the slaughtering of thousands and thousands in which we eat our stolen foods on the very soil of a country we raped, pillaged and depised the children of the indigenous people that were born as a result of our own benefit. Shooting and rape? That's not thanking.
Colombus Day is nothing more than the celebration of the start of the mentioned rape and exploitation of many Carribean and South American countries like Jamaica, Haiti, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, etc which did nothing for the people but set up corrupt governments that would later starve and deprive their own people of the natural resources and supplies they would sell of in the name of commercialism.
Why do people complain about this month being claimed as black history month? Does it make your life uneasy? Do you feel it is unjust? The civil rights movement took place decades ago and now we're saying "Aww let's just forget about it and move on." Plenty of people are recognized in Black History month including Jean Jacques Dessalines, who lead the Haitian revolution by enslaving the original slave masters and subjecting them to the same torture they put on their slaves. I would hardly call that "concern for not upsetting white people". Black history month was created for the love of our people, not for the hatred of others. People need to realize this.
So the question here is this, what is wrong with people learning their history (which is the entire reason why this thread was created) ?Last edited by FDAccord; 02-03-2010, 01:42 PM.
