This will be in the new Photoshop that is launched in April. The algorithm for that has to be just absolutely insane. Think of all the fucking possibilities with this. But also, it will make things a lot easier for fake/hoax pictures.

cs4 already touched into content awareness with their aware Scaling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdPYO...=youtube_gdata which i would assume uses shape identification techniques similar to the algorithms used to detect faces and objects in video feeds.

this content aware fill looks absolutely insane... i cant even fathom the calculations and interpretations that must be done. looks like they are doing extremely well with it though, going to be really fun to try that out once its released. adobe keeps making their 100% solid product lineup better and better, its crazy.

like 92vig said this will inevitably lead to more convincing hoax photos, but in the hands of the true photoshop artists, time saving tools like this will definitely be invaluable.

I am sure you are going to need a decent sized processor to use the feature. I cant imagine it liking a slow processor very much. And for something this awesome, you cant expect it to run on something like that.
