Replaced oil pan gasket, now scraping sound?

I replaced my oil pan gasket, now the car is making a scraping sound, somewhere near the bottom of the engine. I think it might be the flywheel inspection plate touching the wheel. Is it safe to just remove the plate and leave it off? Or carefully remove it, check to see if there's any possible dent in it that is rubbing, etc? Thanks!

the service plate can be removed for maintnance and such but you should not drive without it
