ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Popping sound from rear driver side during bumps.

Recently had the suspension changed. Some Gas Shocks (Springtech) and Megan Racing Coilovers, now when I hit bumps I get the usual thud because of the ride height but lighter bumps cause only the rear left side to make a slight thud. Not sure what it could be. I removed the tire and checked the coilovers and everything is fine, even when pushing the car up and down violently it responds fine. But when driving I definately hear it 80% of time. No other side makes any noise, and its quite clear that its coming from that area (Im not a suspension expert just pointing out where! Can someone help or point out anything I can try?

Have someone do this at each wheel while you look for something loose.

either the struts are busted, or the upper control arms are hitting the inner fender.

      How low are you?

Struts are brand new, I doubt they are busted, its only on one side. What I have in the rear is what I've heard a few ppl call 'wishbone', don't know if thats the mechanical name . Its lowered about 3 inches or so. There is a one inch gap from the tire and the well.

Nope, nothing from the under carriage touches, except the front, due to the ride height. Also a mech friend told me that the front wheels should not move up and down when jacked up, but he also admitted he doesn't have a lot of experience with performance aftermarket stuff. I have megan coilovers and what he said made some sense. If I hit a dip, technically couldn't the suspension (coil) leave the area its in and become dislodged ? With coilover sleeves basically only the weight of the car keeps them in place... Is this true?? My life rides on my CB7, I wanna make sure its safe to drive. Anyone need pics??
