Would yall use HondaBond Ht for a tranny gasket on a subaru?

I am flushing adn draining the cvt fluid on a 14 impreza. Subaru doesn't use gaskets for their tranny pan so i have to make my own. WOuld yall use HondaBond HT. Or would something else be better?

If it is a gasket-less pan; then yes. Honda bond is a great sealant. Just make sure you clean both surfaces and make sure it’s cured before you fill in the fluid.
I heard even the Toyota guys use Honda bond.

I'm just curious, what does Subaru specify for the tranny? Planning to use Hondabond just because you already have some?

yes i was but then I went and got some permatex ultra grey. This tranny pan has no gasket. YOu must make your own. Subaru specifies their own stuff or something equivalent. Hondabond is so thick i remember.

I thought Permatex Grey and Hondabond HT were similar. I've never used Hondabond before so no first hand experience.

Without digging out my manual, I believe Honda only specifies Hondabond for the split line of our transmissions, so I'm pretty sure it would work for Subaru.
