ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    f22a1 swap to a f22a4?

hi everyone im new to the site!!

i have a 1990 lx coupe, i just bought it 2 days ago and this is my first accord and on the way home my car just shutoff. so i pulled to the side of the road (476) and tried to start it back up and it would start so i got it towed to my buddies shop. we realized the distributer cap wasn't spinning so we took the valve cover off and cranked it and the cam broke in half!!!!!!!

    i have a f22a1. (cam broke)

    i just bought a f22a4 off of a friend.

is there anything i will have to worry about while doing the swap?
from what ive read the only thing thats different is the exhaust manifold.

    thanks everyone!!

    Jay.

Hello Sorry to hear your car broke down. That sucks!!! As far as the engine swap goes, its all pretty much straight forward. Everything bolts up. you can use your exhaust manifold and intake if you'd like. Good luck fixing her

The distributor should bolt right up. The a1 and a4 are basically the same engine except for the headers, the a4 headers flow better.
Accord 93 LX: H23 intake mani, Ebay short ram, P12 ecu, Full exhaust. Lots of noise... and that's about it, just noise. LOL
Mazdapeed MX-5 04: Begi Intake, Forge BOV, Ebay FMIC. Whoooooooosh... Phhhff!

as soon as i seen the one half of the cam spin and the other not.,.. but if you got a broken cam thats the least of you worries..right, haha. i have always wanted a CB7 they have been my favorite cares since i can remeber and to get my first one drive it for 10 mins, and for it to take a s$#t kinda sucks but the tranny just got rebuilt so at least i kno the low miles A4 wont put any stress on it.

              Jay,
