I've been trying to find a good handling tyre in the stock 195/60/15 size for a long time, which is not an easy thing as nearly all tyres in this size have very soft sidewalls (I assume most of the tyre manufacturers assume that only shopping trolleys will use this size).

I recently fitted some BFG g-Force Sports, and am more than happy with these, at last a stock size tyre with a reasonably stiff sidewall and good steering / handling response. There may well be better tyres than the g-Force Sport, but in the stock size they are the only ones I'll be buying from now on (especially at the price I was charged, very good value). They also grip very well in both wet and dry conditions, which I hope doesn't mean that they will wear too quickly...

Someone was asking about fitting 205 section tyres onto the stock rim. This is too wide for the stock 5.5" rim width. Even a 195 tyre section tyre width is quite wide for a 5.5" wide wheel, and is the widest tyre any(?) of the tyre manufacturers permit on a 5.5" wheel. A 195 tyre will be better on a 6.5" to 7" wheel, and IMO a 205 needs at least a 6.5" and possibly even a 7.5" (definitely not a 5.5").

Fitting a tyre to a wheel that is too narrow causes the sidewall to become less stable, which adversely affects steering / handling, and may cause the tread to 'crown' excessively with possible adverse affects on grip and tyre wear.

Grip is OK. They alright for me. They make a good match for a medium suspension setup and stock/lightly upgraded brakes. Not amazing grip when braking, farely easy to lock up, but cornering is great.
Tread life has been good for me. They are hard enough to take some abuse and not wear quickly.
Good 'sport' tire but still lots to be had. 6/10
