Tan interior, SEM color match
The "leather" inserts in the door panels of my 93 EX are nearly completely off. They also appear to have shrunken and will no longer fit the doors if one wanted to glue them back on. I want to remove them entirely and paint the section of the insert with the correct matching paint.
I believe I have narrowed it down to two colors that I think are close to the factory tan interior color. SEM 15093 "Light buckskin" SEM 17313 "Acura tan vinyl." One is color coat, the other classic coat. I believe they will both work for the door panels I just don't know the correct color or closest match. I want to prep and paint only the insert section of the door panels after I remove the handles and leather? inserts. Maybe Santa Fe? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F281740317307 Last edited by H311RA151N; 10-06-2019 at 07:40 PM. |

To save the hassle of trying to match, you could select a contrasting or complementary color. On Ruby, I did the outer portion of my tan inserts in a red color that closely matched the exterior of the car.

I thought about that as well. I don't think I'm going to get a close enough match.
I'm thinking maybe a little darker tan color. |
