So, I took her out this week for only the second time this summer. I had forgotten how much I love driving that CB7 when it's not 100+F* plus hot air from the heater core. I replaced the intake manifold gasket as it collapsed on #1 and caused a wicked idle of 1500+ whenever it got hot which was every time during that part of the summer. I drove the BB6 more simply because of the A/C and stock everything. It made for a more comfortable ride that my shitty back can tolerate. The CB got rear-ended again in Feb. by a fullsize truck instead of a full size van this time. Spent lots of time this summer at the drag strip working on cars and helping my dad's friend with his Aspen running 11's with a 360cid. Also got to work on and help with a 440cid 'Cuda that ran 12.7 when it ate a plug wire. I pulled a single spare MSD wire with full boot set out from the prelude truck to save the car to run a 12.1 on the next pass. I'll upload a couple shots soon and add them here to check out. I hope to make at least one pass this season in the CB just to see what she does. The last (and only) time I ran a CB it pulled a 18.9 at 5000ft in my first chassis with an auto trans and fewer mods. Happy driving friends!
