I just bought this cb7 a couple days ago, the paint on it is chipped and has major wear. I'm an 18 year-old kid who just got fired from my job, so i'm on a budget. So i just figure the cheapest way to do it with best results is Rustoleum + Foam Rollers. I'm either going to find a green, black, or royal blue paint. Let me know your opinions on the whole Rustoleum paint job.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Thinking about a Rustoleum Paint job!

Other members have done the rolller paint job with success. And it's budget friendly. I approve of a roller paint job as long as the prep work is done well.

This is when it was first done
This was taken today and its been a year and some months and still looks good and its never in a garage and its gets rained on snowed on sun shined on it.

Be sure to get high density foam rollers it lays the best. And stir the paint do not shake it because it will cause bubbles and that will transfer into your paint. Be sure your first coat goes on smooth don't try to cover the car in the first coat it's not gonna happen and when you mix the paint withe the mineral sprints when you stick in you stir stick and remove it the paint should run for 2 secs or so and begin to drip so it's going to be kinda thin.

Tracie's car is probably the best I've seen on a CB7. I've seen one other that was pretty decent... and quite a few that were AWFUL. I played with a roller job using green Rustoleum on a hood, and it was a nightmare. Didn't look terrible after like... 8 coats... but still. I couldn't imagine doing that to a whole car!
From what i learned, certain colors work better for the roller job. It still takes a fair amount of skill, and likely won't come out looking even as good as a cheap Maaco paintjob (which I have on my CB7, and it looks quite good.)
If you're comfortable with the potential risk of failure for the amount of work involved, go for it. If it comes out good, it'll be a conversation piece. If it comes out terrible, at least it didn't cost you a fortune!

I think a spray job from a Harbor Freight sprayer would be better than a roller. Plus you'd still have it to practice with and eventually become better.
On a different note, I think you're committing a terrible offense painting that car a different color. Phoenix red is one of the most rare colors for Accords that there is. It only came on '90-'91 DX (LX in Canada) coupes and is the only coupe in the US to have black interior. My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Also, maybe you should wait til you have income again before you start doing big jobs like paint and bodywork.
