    Good Auto-X information

    http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets3.html

There is great information in this thread and it may help correct some of the myths and inaccurate information that is present in some of the threads I've seen.

I was reading the stuff on that site a few weeks ago. More power is not always the answer.
Bottom line here: learn to drive before you start spending money and turning wrenches; it's the best investment you can make.

Hmm, that's weird. Sonikaccord did the link work for you?

Either way while I'm fixing that problem you can look up Farnothracing.com or autocross to win, the main page is still up.

You accidentally added the "http://" twice to the link.

Thanks, I didn't catch that but it's edited now.

It's evident that the 2G Talon got my attention.

RPF1's look sick. Think I found my wheels.

yeah when I first saw your Talon I thought of this article. There's good stuff on there that relates to that car aswell if you track down some of the sub links contained inside.

I used to watch Tsuchiya videos as well as had a friend whom did auto X and was trying to venture into open wheel; they both believe that having a linear powerband with transmission geared for said powerband and suspension tuned specifically for a track are the best way to go over a top hp producing engine that falls off the band and improperly tuned for a course. My old buddy raced me and another guy out in a indoor track, with similar vehicles and weight of drivers the skill was the only difference, I got run circles around me and am not ashamed to say it; master driving first and then upgrade.

I will be doing my first auto-x event this coming Friday in the work beater sunfire. It is lowered, has a sway bar and front solid strut bar. Stock wheels with toyo extensa a/s, should be fun.
