ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Front End Collision?

I have Seen this Cb7 on CL for about 6-7 months and its a 1993 Accord EX. But there is something different the grille is off a 90-91 and the lights look like its off a 90-91 i am not sure if it been replaced with wrong parts or if its been in a accident? when i first saw the ad in the summer (you could tell by the weather in the pics) it was around $3400

It doesn't even look installed. Just set in place.

Those lights and grille defintiely don't fit. I would not be at all surprised if it was a write-off that's been fixed up, especially since it's being sold at a dodgy North Surrey car dealership.

I recognize the area from the pictures. When I was a kid, I lived just a bit down the side street from where that dealership is (about 3 doors down in a house that's gone now). When I lived there, that was a gas station and not a dealership.

Definitely 9091 grille, this car is fishy. Take it for a test drive and see how she accels and see how it feels on the interstate. 211,000 kilometers doesn't seem to terrible for mileage. And 2,700$ Canadian is like 1,700 US, I'd check it out!

The price on the craigslist ad says $1900. That's about what I'd pay for an EX-R with 200,000-250,000KM in excellent condition. I certiainly wouldn't pay that for a CB with questionable accident repairs.

If it was accident free and everything was in good mechaincal condition, then $1900 would be a fair price for that car.

Definitely a front end collision. The corner lights are crooked in the exact same way mine are. (I hit a couple of deer.)

If it looks iffy, move on. Wouldn't even investigate any further.

Nobody wants to buy a car that's been accident repaired, especially as noticeably as that one has.

Upon a closer look, it seems as if they mounted the grille to sit infront of the lip on the bumper, so it doesn't have the underbite look.

The headlights may just need some adjusting, but the crooked corner light is putting me off.

i think the headlights are off a 90-91 because its not curved?

The different between headlights at that distance is almost impossible to tell in photos. If the 92 corner light sticks out past the headlight, it has 9091 headlights. Because the corner light does not sit straight, I can't tell for sure, but looking at the driver side, it does seem to look as if the corner light is poking out past the headlight, meaning they are 9091 headlights.

Also hard to tell, because the gaps on the side of the grille, you can't see how the grille lines up with the headlight lenses.
