k, well I had to cut and splice my wiring and use the Prelude clock reel, and my cruise worked before I swapped the wheel and it doesnt now.

i didnt cut anything. i just put about 7 1/8 thick washer on mine or as many as it takes for it not to rub. been working great for 2 years now.

Great DIY article. My big concern, is the Prelude steering wheel smaller in diameter than the factory Accord steering wheel?

I thought the diameter was the same as Accord.

just put it before the steering wheel goes in.

I want to do this on my 92 but i dont really understand everything i need to do the swap. I know i need a resistor or to remove the bulb and to use washers but thats about it. All i have is the steering wheel. can i make this work?

I am aware it is unsafe to remove the airbag.

If there is no cruise control buttons on the steering wheel and the resume and set buttons are on the dash, all you have to worry about is the horn i think. I wish mine was like that lol.

You are going to have extra buttons on the steering wheel that do nothing though. Get Carbon fiber or plastic and shape it to the buttons to block them off. ive seen that done before
