    Mevotech front end kit questions

    Hey guys,

After getting my '91 running I've been driving around the past week to get a feel for what else might need to be addressed and the suspension definitely needs some work.
I was looking on Rockauto and they have a front end kit that includes a majority of the parts needed to replace most of the front end components. My question is, has anyone ever gotten one of these? What's the quality of Mevotech components? If they're garbage I'll just buy all the components separately.

    Here's the kit in question:

for whatever its worth, I had two mevotech LBJ's fail on me. The first time was shortly after getting things installed. The nut just fell off the stud like it was made out of cheese. the threads just smeared away. A few months later the other one did the same thing. The first one I got a castle nut from menards and the second one I put in an autozone LBJ. A few months later I got tie rod ends. one outer had a zerk, the other side didnt.
I thought mevotech was quality because I saw them using them a lot on one of the Powernation hot rod shows. They are just chinesium whitebox shit with a spiffy blue poly grease boot. Id just stick with tried and true suspension component names.
The first failure happened 3 mins before getting on the highway where i wouldve been doing 80+ the second time I was headed to school and had to stop in at Autozone to return something when the street to parking lot transition set `er free.
    Id stay away.

Honda lower balljoints are cheap enough, like 25 each from the dealer.

          best way to go.

There are a few other brands I would accept, but why not go with OEM for $25.00, best option out there.

When doing parts like tie rods, lower and upper ball joints stick to OEM Honda or MOOG.

MOOG has lifetime warranty and is almost as good as OEM Honda.

Honda only sells the lower ball joints.. Honda does not sell upper ball joints you would have to buy the entire upper control arm.

MOOG sells everything! upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods.

I personally Have the MOOG inner and outer tie rods.

Lower ball joints I have are OEM Honda. however one did break after about 6 or 7 years. If i had MOOG then it would have had the lifetime warranty.

Ask yourself this.. how long are you staying with your car?
