    delta cams group buy

Just so you guys know i spoke to john (the owner of delta cams) not even 5 min ago and he said this specifically:

our 262 and 272 regrinds go for 93.50 + shipping. But if you can get the guys on your forum to do a group buy what i can do is drop the price to 75.00 for 10+ buys. Just send me the cams with each members name and address and they will have their cam sent out a day after their cores are recieved.

Ok the DOHC usually would be 190 for the set reg retail

for the group buy they run 150

now what i plan to do is go to the junk yard and pic up at least 15 cams so that i can send them in bulk to save on shipping costs.

Change in payment and shipping plans..

ok ladies and gents im having a little issue with my bank so i couldn't get a paypal account. I talked to john (the owner of delta camshafts) and we decided that you can send the core and payment into delta cams directly so that theres no confusion. Just make sure that when you do send it in you also send in a written or printed letter to John letting them know what regrind you want and all of your information so that they know what cam goes to who. There are 18 cams going to him so he has alot of work to do. Please be sure not to forget to send him the information

    price is still the same...

    So lets get this going

Do the 262 and 272 regrinds work well in the F22b2? What other cams are they comparable to?

they are regrinds which mean they take the core that you send in and regrind it to the 262 or 272 lift..... so yes it works quite well with your motor

Would a core from an F22A motor work? Do you know around where they are in comparison to say bisimoto level 1 or 2 cams? Like more or less lift or duration. By the way I'm very interested in this buy, but I can't commit just yet, I need to check my finances to make sure I can do it.

unfortunately there is no comparison to the bisimoto cams for bisimotos cams are just plain amazing... they are just too costly..... and no a cam from an f22a will not work on an f22b.. just go to the JY and get one bro.... that way your car isn't down for the count and you can hold on to your stock one or send it to get a regrind done to it and sell it to make some $$$...

Last time I went to the jy there was only one CD that had the motor still in but it had the f22b1, there were a bunch of cb7's though and one already had the valvetrain taken apart down to the cam so I picked it up for cheap thinking it might work as a core. I guess if I find I can do this I could send in the core for someone else if they can pick up and send in the cam core for a b2.

Does anyone have the lift and duration specs of the delta cams so I can make some comparisons?

Thank you for your help and posting up the spec sheet. I suppose its safe to assume the specs for the f22b2 cam regrind would be very similar?

That data sheet says Honda F22A at the bottom, above you said that the F22A and F22B cams were not interchangeable. So what is it?

I'd be interested in the 272 if I can send in an F22B2 cam for a core.

The other cam I have is
                    Lift Int. 0.360 - Ex. 0.288 Duration Int. 257 - Ex. 236

I'd like to try them both out on my F22B2 build.

What, if any, are the valve train requirements. I have upgraded springs, can I use them with the Delta 272 cam?

its pretty easy to get the specs for the f22b2 if you have the stock cam specs just do the math from the 272 regrind from the f22a to the stock one and just add those numbers to the f22b2 and there you have your specs...

the 272 is safe on both stock valve train and upgraded... im going to be running a stock valve train for now with stock cam gear....in a few weeks ill purchase a cam gear and valve springs and retainers... ill dyno the stock valvetrain then with the upgraded to show the difference...
