what tap size + bolt size did you use for your intake manifold when you swapped out the freeze plugs for bolts? those are the highest grade bolts right? even the intake manifold may suffer from heat, so i wouldn't want your bolts snapping next time you take em off!

I used M10x1.5 on the H23 manifold it was solid aluminum. the intake manifold doesnt get nearly as hot as the header so im not concerned in the least about the bolts snapping. They are grade 8 but even if they werent in wouldnt be concerned. Even if they did get stuck, i would just be in the same spot with plugs. Drill and fill ! =D
Im actually thinking of moving up to a larger bolt so the current bolts i have will be sold on here most likely for cheap.

man, your build is sick!!! I'm loving the Key! if i havent bought my Acura keyfob already and spare keys and stuff, I was gonna give your method a shot! I bought a folding key before, but it cut bad and i didn't know how to embed my alarm stuff in it so i passed on that idea and went the old 90's way hehe

I just installed a VIP table on my glovebox bud!

Victim of Texas (Houston) Tornado 2015

Background:
In town for a wedding and god decides to flood the southern US....

The pictures dont look that bad, but the water got up over the bumpers when the water was at full force. Needless to say both vehicles are a total loss and were prime examples of their classic chassis. Obviously they are not new cars. We live within our humble means. The gofund me goal is wishful thinking, but one can dream. Sadly this isnt a nightmare. Even 1$ helps.

Have you read Accordwgnguy's advice for getting the cars running again? It seems pretty straightforward, albeit a tad time consuming:

Here's what I would do. Assuming it's freshwater, not salt water. Are you staying at a friend's place? I'd vacuum out all the water with a wet/dry vac from the inside and where ever else it's sitting in the car. let it sit outside for a day in the sun with the windows open and it should dry out. Next, pull the spark plugs from the engine and turn it over BY HAND and if there's any water in the engine it should blow out the spark plug holes. Don't attempt to crank over the engine until you do this, you could hydrolock the engine. If you have some sort of open air filter make sure you dry that out as well. You should be good at that point. Cars were made to withstand some water, I had a jeep that was submerged in mud and water more than once, and it was fine. I'd suggest changing the oil and maybe trans fluid as well before you hit the road. Maybe pop the distributor cap off as well and make sure that's dry.

When I went 5 lug on my blue sedan years ago. I also re drilled the rear rotors. The rotors were still 1 year old just had to drill where necessary.

Your cb looks way better now!
