ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

f22a motor building help New to hondas

Ok so i have some spare time and i already have the bare block and head so i figured i'd give this a shot. I currently have an F22a block and head in my possession. Before anyone says get a different motor or head this is the combo id prefer to go with, I have access to a machine shop and the time. Id like to get this motor to go about 250 whp N/A. I tried searching between forums and there is almost too much informatioin its a lot to take in. What id like if someone could help me is since this is a motor from a junk yard. Whats my first step, i already tore it apart and everything is seperated. Do i send it to be cleaned, do i clean it, should i start with the block first or the head. What would be the first things i need part wise. Any help with this build will be great. I appreciate your time as this forum is new to me Ive already done a 2000 neon and ive done a ton with my 2010 altima so this honda will be new to me.

First you need to pull the pistons and rings and then measure piston to wall clearance, that way you know if you need just a hone or a bore and hone. You need to check the condition of the block first.

Anyone who tells you to get a different block or head is a moron.
I really wish people would stop making threads demanding NOT to be told something.
If you really did a lot of research on this site, you'd see LOTS of info about how good the F22A head is when modified.

Anyway, 250whp N/A is going to require EXTENSIVE work. You'll need to run high compression pistons (probably 12.0:1 or greater), and have a knowledgeable head porter do a proper port and polish. You'll need a quality camshaft proper intake manifold, good header, and a dyno-tuned ECU.

To make it easy... www.bisimoto.com. Nobody knows the F22A better than Bisimoto at the moment.

A healthy wallet, it's going to get pricey even if you know how to do the work properly yourself.
