I replaced the spark plug wires today. I ran them adequately. They could be organized better however they are positioned away from the headers.

Oh and I found out this car has long tube headers today. Not short headers like I thought.

I was about to pull.the front tires off and get at the ball joints when I found a security lug nut. I have to find a socket for one of these. Still looking.

I located the lug nuts I do believe. I'm certain enough that I went ahead and purchased a replacement set along with the key.

Zip Corvette had these. Again, I'm pretty sure these are the ones. I'll go ahead and throw these new ones on and yank the old ones. I only needed the key or socket rather.

This will enable me to replace the front upper ball joints next Saturday. Which is one more step into selling this thing.

The locking lug nut kit came in today. I tested it out and it works. It's the exact kit the previous owner 2 owners ago purchased. Saturday I can start on the upper ball joints.

Front upper ball joint replacement. The process. Pulled the front upper control arms to make it easier. Later this week I'll get the upper control arms in with the new ball joints. Button it up and be 1 step closer to having this thing completed.

The new front upper ball joints are in. Mobil 1 synthetic multi purpose grease is what I pumped them up with.

This is one more task completed!

Driver side.

Passenger side. I forgot to take pictures before completion. My bad.

And it's back together.

The parking brake cable broke when I was transporting it from Iowa to Missouri. The cable apparently was fraid. I just purchased a stainless front parking brake cable. I'm pretty certain that the issue lies with the front cable. If not I'll have to purchase the rears too. This car is getting closer to be completed! It should make someone a really decent Corvette.

With the parking brake cable you have the option of OE or stainless. For a little more money I opted for stainless.

I'm going to clean this thing up. The bay is filthy. The exterior of the car however is very clean. All in all after I get the new transmission in I'm going to ask for $6500. I think that will move it. I'm losing about $300 at that price however I knew I was going to. And I will take a little less than $6500 even. Just looking for opinions on this obviously. I hate the "what's this worth" questions. I just want to know if I'm about right on the asking price or not. I need it to sell. I need to start on the 1G Talon I just bought.

I think I'm going to list it on FB marketplace and CL in about 6 weeks. Or that's the plan anyhow. I've never worked so hard to try and get rid of something. But, I've got to make sure the next person gets a good car with no issues from square one.
