ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Rear passenger side window...

the rear passenger side window, won't go all the way up...it rolls down perfectly and when i go to roll it back up, it leaves about an 1.5 inch gap. it won't close all the way. i've taken the door panel off, to see if it was getting stopped by something, but there is nothing that is stopping it...does anybody know how i can fix this?

u could also remove the glass from the track and re-align it. i plan on doing that for my car, but i havnt had the time. i'll try to do a DIY on it when i do... it shows how to do it in the a guide i downloaded.. i'll screen shot that too when i get home.

The regulator is broken. There's a plastic piece on it that breaks with age, and that is the result. It looks fine until you compare it to a good one.

Go to Honda and get a new regulator. Aftermarket ones are crap.

Switching out the regulator isn't too big a deal. Just grab one off ebay. Took me about an hour and a half to do the front window regulator swap but I think the rear would be easier.

Yeah super easy job....also try connecting the motor directly to 12v to see if it will go up the rest of the way....

With that piece broken, it won't go all the way up. It's not the motor, it's the regulator.

The motors and regulators come separately from the Honda dealer, making it a hassle to assemble them. The aftermarket ones aren't nearly as good (I have 2 aftermarket ones, both are very slow). However, they're much easier to work with... just slap em in.

As for "removing the whole system"... the motor is attached to the regulator, with a loaded spring... which is why it's tough to assemble and disassemble the thing. I prefer to buy them assembled, even if it means getting crappy aftermarket stuff. The motor and regulator ARE the "whole system".

When you remove the regulator, be sure to secure or remove the glass.
If you remove the glass, don't clean the "dirt" on the sides... that's for lubrication, and your window will give you trouble if you clean it off. Not that I know from personal experience or anything...
