    need black paint ideas

im planing on getting my cb fixed and painted. i dont know what color to paint it. im thinking black or something really dark that could pass for black. maybe black with red flakes?? anyone have pics of there custom black paint??

honestly its either black or frost white. but im liking the black since my interior is going to be black and maroon.

Black, with black and maroon interior? I say black with purple flakes

If you had all maroon interior I would say go with white for sure, that is one of my favorite color combinations.

im trying to go for that but its hard to find everything maroon for the coupes if not im not looking hard enuff. i like the frost white. the car is already black im just getting rust delete and my mad jdm holes delete lol. so the paint on it now is crappy can spray from previous owner. so im trying to get some professional paint on bonnie.

Well then you should definitely get some kind of white paint and finish out the maroon interior imo.

look up the threads on maaco and one day paint
they say if you do most of the prep work yourself (mainly sanding I think) that maaco does a decent job. Even some of the mods on this forum have maaco jobs done to their car which can run as little as $300. With that low a price, you could probably request a special flake added to the paint

Yeah, it pulls really hard when it needs to, and always idles smooth. It leaks a little oil, but doesn't burn any. I want to rebuild it so bad.

probably the best part about old Honda's is the availability of used but low mileage engines. You can get a replace f22a6 engine with less than 80,000k for $500 if you look hard enough. In japan they don't believe in body work, so when a car gets wrecked, it gets parted out. I recall seeing a sohc vtec h22 with only 30,000 miles available shipped from California for around $600.
