    Got my car back today!

So being without a car for the week I finally got it back today cause my crankshaft pulley bolt came loose. Didn't cost me no $$ which is even better.

Doesn't the motor turn clockwise ? How did you even loosen that bolt ?

If you don't have it torqued down all the way it can come loose.
Why did that repair take a week?

All that was needed was an impact and like 3 minutes......
          Your point stands regardless.

My only guess of it taking a week is it was out of timing and even that only takes about an hour?

if the bolt backs out it can strip the threads

mine backed out 5-6 months after rebuilding my motor, i never noticed until i threw two sets of accesory belts, one brand new. which is where i get my awesome experience with the optima yellow top. drove about 50 miles, 35 at night, over a three day period without an alternator, no charging on the side

did the person who put it back on have to locktitie it?

Yeah I only had a 30 min. each day to look at it cause I was swamped with school work so I didn't look at it close enough to find out the actual problem till Thursday then fixed it yesterday, but atleast it was free

Never use loc-tite on a crank pulley bolt.

All it needs is clean threads and engine oil. Then torque to specs.
