For headunits, I like Nakamichi & Denon. I think Nakamichi finally made a H/U with aux input.

For amps, I like Alpine, US Amps, Nakamichi, PPI and some others. I have a soft spot for Profile amps... cheap, but they do rated power and are pretty reliable.

For speakers & subs it's gotta be Dayton. However, Alpine & Mmats have made some subs I was impressed with. CDT also has some pretty cool products (particularly their midbasses).

When I am settled I will definitely do a full Nakamichi/Dayton build. SQ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SPL

Jon is very helpful Jon is very helpful
I've always enjoyed the features/price of Pioneer HUs
Sundown Audio amps
Sound Solutions Audio subs

Speakers are hit and miss for me... some manufacturers can make a good set of comps then next year turn around and release garbage. So I have no brand loyalty when it comes to speakers.

I don't get why manufacturers change their designs every year... I'd rather more efficiency + better value from a perfected speaker than "the latest thing"
