    2019 Ram 1500

I have this for the weekend for a business trip to Rockford, IL. Used it to also make a delivery to a member near Milwaukee (what else did I have to do Friday night than drive?). Left at 10:30 yesterday morning, got home at 11:30 PM Saturday. 1030 miles up and back. It says it got 22.7 mpg.

Did people keep pulling up on you asking if it had a Hemi? I have owned both ford and chevy but i must say that dodge cars and trucks have more character than their counterparts.

No one asked much about it. I couldn't find my first gas receipt, but I think it used more than 50 gallons, which would mean it didn't really get 22.7 mpg. Went to church this evening in it with my wife - she got seasick because it rides quite a bit stiffer than her Pilot (and she was looking down using her phone). It was skittish over rough roads and particularly railroad tracks. Tires were at about 40 psi (according to the TPMS).

character in the sence that they still have a certain ruggedness to them in the looks department, yes they are heavy and may have the aerodynamic equivalent of a fridge but they look more American than Ford AND Chevy this last 5 or so years.

It's crazy that I'm defending the one brand I have NEVER owned . Yeah variable timing combined with cylinder deactivation and like 45 speed automatics are having some of these trucks have similar gas mileage to some 4 cylinder vehicles in the 90s.
