      Hey LadyG, nice write up.
      I had a few questions...
      Based on your pictures; your accord is a manual transmission right? (Because it uses a half shaft)
      Do you happen to remember if your new dr's axle inner joint had full splines or half?
      I bought some lifetime axles from autozone and didnt have an issue replacing the passenger side. But on the dr's side, the axle I removed had a full splined inner joint. The new autozone axle inner joint was only half splined. Because of this, it would not fully seat inside the halfshaft. It would stop when the splines ended.

      I double checked the parts along with autozone and their system said it was the correct part number.
      Whats also odd is that according to autozone; the drivers axle and the passengers axle uses the same part number
