ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    FNG from tullahoma, TN

    Hi all,

I've been the owner of this Cb7 for almost 13 years now, Shes a rat, but I'm hoping to bring her back around to presentable. You've seen her at every IA meet within 250 miles of Middle TN and looked right past her.

She has been the one car I've owned that has always started, always gotten me where i want to go without so much as a whimper.

She has high mileage, VERY high mileage, but the old odometer stopped working at 160-190K ish miles(been a long time), so i had to have it replaced. The new one was from the dealer with 0 miles on it, It now reads 240K+, and all i have ever had to do to it was replace the clutch and basic maintenance.

But Now she has that infamous high rev oil leak, combination of a VC gasket leak at the tube seals and valve seals(still has good compression on all cylinders), So I'm trying to figure out what to do with her engine wise.

I like the idea of an F20B, but I may want to boost, if i do that I'm sticking with Single cam. My other issue is she has rust....alot of it, and fixing that is not cheap by any means the way i do things(I work on BMW's i Don't half Ass)

I'm a Euro car guy at heart, I've owned several Volkswagens(66 beetle, 04 GTI, 83 Scirocco with a g60 swap from a corrado, Rabbit P/U with a diesel swap), and I have a BMW now thats an ongoing project(e34 540I that is currently on jacks getting a 6 speed swap).

I'm a parts counter guy and run a shade tree out of my garage,But i mostly deal with Euro cars with that.

So here she is, My ugly duckling
(I apologize if her sorry state offends you, but she is a trooper)

So adding your odometers, that's at least 400K miles. WOW, excellent job maintaining that car. Excellent car, should be easy to return to its former glory, I'm doing the same with mine but have rust to contend with. If you have any at all it must be very little.

Oh no Its got rust, enough that I'm more than likely going to have to reskin the rear quarters(39 dollars from jcwhitney for each side).

But yeah, its been a fantastic car.
