People seem to mistake it for a legend pretty frequently which is funny.

I have felt that also. I deduced it to the following:

1) Bigger emphasis on the Grill (trade mark of upper class vehicles)
2) More shiny parts (chromed grill and chrome trimmings around the headlights) add the distinctive luxury look and aura.
3) Larger shaped headlights and larger blinker lenses add a touch of European style giving a more up market appearance.

I love the look of the CB1 don't get me wrong.

I did come across a couple of these cars and have considered getting one of these but hesitated as replacement parts will be so hard to obtain in an event of an accident as commonly damaged parts (all of the front, all of the rear) and rear doors is alot of car to risk hitting.

Then I was so glad I actually came across my CB4 instead, like it was a God sent.

Don't get me wrong the CB1 is great but I cannot feed on the locally released cars to maintain the exterior (in a practical sense) and the ones i did come across didn't have any or all of the following

no EFi (Fuel injection)
no DOHC (Double over head cam)
no SRS Air bag,
no ALB (Antilock Brakes),
no 4WS (all wheel steer),
no TCS (Traction control system) and
no LSD (Limited Slip Differential)
no twin exhaust (looks better in my opinion)
no F20a DOHC Efi engine (most powerful OEM engine ever fitted on the CB) - it only came with a 1.8 single cam carby which was a real let down and too much a pain to upgrade and will remove its genuine status if upgraded.

The CB4 I came across and bought actually ended up having all of the above major hardware and more which was like finding a dream come true. Virtually all the factory options on a CB (including log book in japanese). Original owner must have been a high ranking foreign delegate or high positioned corporate individual. Pouring that much money on options hence the resulting personal import into Australia is a serious buyer and driver.

It also has what the CB1 may already have which other cars didn't

OEM integrated antennae
Power fold mirrors
Keyless entry
Digital climate control
Map reading light
Lighted Vanity mirror
Reverse chime etc etc

I have never ever seen one like my one on the road or any of the forums with all those options as an OEM fitment.

I seriously should get off my arse to post it as someone reading my posts may take it as just bragging or even an outright lie.

I have always been a modest person hence my lack of motivation to post here or anywhere (not just the CB but about my cars in general and bad attention it gets in real life) but will do a few to try it and view it as more for the sharing the common enjoyment of the CB.
