Would you consider this wear and tear or an issue of material and/or workmanship?
This is the down pipe of a F22B1.

do you by any chance have a flex pipe b/c the extra vibrations if there was not one could lead the weld breaking

Yes there is a flex pipe at the end of the down pipe, connected to the cat.

BTW, it's not my car, it's a friends.

I voted "Material and/or workmanship", but it also comes down to how long this was installed.

If it were pretty old, I'd say it's wear and tear.

However, the piping looks incredibly clean and free deterioration... therefor I'm sticking with my vote.
