ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i was having the same issue, untill i resoldered a broke joint. it cranks up perfect but still having the same code problems with solenoid shortage or opening.

Try swapping a reman TCU in. You might not have fully repaired the TCU.

        Main Relay, Guaranteed.

Cheap and free way to test.

You have D4 Light and/or CEL and car only turns over.

Step 1: Turn the key back to the off position.
Step 2: Locate your main relay (under your driver side dash)
Step 3: Knock on your main relay. (Just tap it with a screw driver or something)
Step 4: Turn the key two clicks and watch as your CEL and D4 light have disappeared.
        Step 5: Replace main relay.

I battled this problem for a year or two. Luckily i live in Oregon and its cold most the year but summer time i'd have to leave early for work all the time just cuz i never knew if id get this error code and not be able to start. I replaced the solenoids (and i had the exact same codes as you) but it didn't change the CEL or D4 light. Turns out the main relay (more than likely if its not the OEM one) has very cheap soldering and with the higher temperatures outside causes failure. The aftermarket replacement main relays are made very cheaply. They use a method of soldering called wave soldering. Basically mass production soldering. Defiantly gives you quantity over quality.

But yeah hope that helps someone if not you. Lol i know its a late post but i came across this and had to say something cuz i fought this forever and no where did anyone send me in the direction of the main relay.
