Giving my interior a luxury facelift

Ok I finally started on my interior. I plan to make a DIY out of this when I get it more organized as I am taking a LOT of pictures. I went shopping today and got some nice things. I bought some very high quality material to use on the interior. Here is a list of the items I bought so far:

    *Leather and Vinyl*

    1) Signature Cream Vinyl
    2) Whisper Black Leather
    3) Cream Tan Vinyl

I still need to get suede for my headliner.
    --------------------------
    *Other needed items for project*

    1) Heat Gun
    2) Contact Cement
    3) Black Vinyl Paint
    4) Spring Clamps
    5) Brushes

I still need to get a Platinum Burl wood grain dash kit

I am still planning out my layout but I already started prepping the door panels. I am going for that BMW sporty luxury look. Pics coming soon!

    Edit:

    Whisper Black Leather

First steps. Taking apart door panel:

Take clips out of door panel

Take all these gold screws out of back of door panel

Take 2 clips that hold armrest out

    Now it looks like this

Make sure you put all parts in a bag so you don't lose anything

Take off window trim by bending the tabs so they are straight up

Take speaker grill and bottom part of door panel apart

In this pic I removed the ugly old carpet from the bottom part of the door panel and scraped/sanded the glue off

Removed the fabric from the speaker grill

I painted a small part on the bottom part of the door panel

More pics to come soon. The weather is a little too humid to paint right now so I will start on some of the vinyl and leather.

              Just finished the speaker grill.

Stretched the tan vinyl around the grill

It takes a lot of time to get no wrinkles in the vinyl. I cut v notches wherever there was stress.

              Finished speaker grill.

For the holes in the speaker grill I'm still trying to figure out what I wanna do. I could cut a hole and mount the speakers on the outside of the vinyl but I wanna keep the speakers hidden for a cleaner look. I came up with a idea to use eyelets sort of like the ones in the picture below. I will press the eyelets into a circle pattern of holes on the grill

Now I am going to start on the main part of the door panel. More pics soon

I'm not using the speaker like that. You must not have read this part:

Wow.....I did the same thing. My interior was that same color. Now, it's all black. Well, not my seats. My door panels and dash is all black. It looks sexy. There should be a DIY on this.

Im curious to see how this turns out.

Im wanting a new INT setup and im not sure if i want all black or if i wanna keep some of my tan.

I think tan on the speaker and where the bottom carpet used to be would look good, with black panel backing. Black paneling and tan leather inserts...
