    Joining the Wagon club

so I found a Dark Metallic Grey 90-91 EX-R wagon with 285km on Craigslist that I might be getting, gonna phone nice and early tomorrow there was no picture but I have an idea of what it looks like lol.

they're asking 600obo so i'm gonna try and talk it down and get it cheap...they said there's a few issues that I would address slowly as I continued to drive the cb7

here is what they listed as the bad: It burns a bit of oil but still runs quite strong. Has a little blue smoke on cold start ups, but doesn't push blue while driving.

    Needs:
    Valve cover gasket set
Driver side power window clip is broken and window wont go up or down
    Could use new tires
Front passenger side strut needs replacing
    CV boots
Antenna is broken off so radio reception isn't great, picks up local stations though.
Rear wiper arm spring is broken
Needs a piece of widow sprayer line as there is a leak and the sprayers don't work.
    A/C need recharging

it's also a 5spd manual so I would be learning stick lol but I think I'll go for it anyways.

Thatseems like a sweet deal. Seems as if all the issues are minor, and for $600 doesn't seem like you could go wrong!

    Pics upon arrival.

Nothing a good day at the junkyard can't solve dude!

Except maybe the axle boots. I'd just go with new since it isn't that bad of a job anyway. Plus while you are down there you can check the uca ball joints and the lca ball joints on both sides. plus your sway bar linkage and the tierods.

Really not a bad steal for only 600 bucks. As for the ac recharge, I would invest into it because it gets mighty hot here in philly. But in vancouver i doubt you need it :P

it was a family wagon, so its unmolested and they were non-smokers which is a plus cause I hate that damn smokey interior smell.

I just hope it has the stock alloys and not steelies lol...still waiting to call, gonna break the news to the wife too so hopefully all goes well.

Ya I'm sure it'll need a good once over. As for the A/C recharge I might do it cause the wife has AC in her car and I don't so it's tough on them muggy days, as for the heat it doesn't typically get as hot here as most places...I think we've had maybe 4 or 5 hot days so far and the rest were just sunny

That's why you need to be like me and just jump on things when you find them. You wait, you lose it.

When the buyer screwed me over for my truck, I thought I was going to lose the wagon.

Oh well, you'll find another one. They're around.
