DIY - Make Shifts Less Notchy(great for short shifters!)

    This is pretty simple.

Remove your shifter.(I am not telling you how to do this, so search or buy a Hanes manual.

Take the plates that cover the main bearing off. Clean the existing grease/dirt off of all the moving parts and as much from inside the bearing as you can.
The cleaner you get it the better.

Now pack the inside of the bearing as tight as possible with white grease. After putting it back together, wipe the excess grease off.

Apply the grease generously to all the other moving parts of the shifter assembly.

Put it all back together and enjoy smoother shifting!

I did a half ass job when I installed my forbidden ss. Just used regular grease and didnt open the bearing up. It worked but after re-doing it with the white grease and packing it tight, I really noticed the difference.
