adding port to cabin have a couple questions

I want to add a port that goes into cabin

Where should i make one
rear deck
Or inside/behing rear armrest

I really want to do the rear armrest one

Any advice doing this guys?

It doesn't matter where you put the port. If you do this, you'll have to seal up the rest of the trunk for it to work the best.
And when you do that, you'll have a bandpass box and you're sub will have a limited range but it would be more efficient(louder).

Or do you just want to let the bass from the trunk into the cabin?

Why do I and how would I seal my trunk? No I would never use a bandpass box I use sealed

And to splcb7 why do u prefer rear deck lid

Well you answered my question.

If you're using a sealed box, you're just going to be venting to the cabin. All you have to do is cut a hole in the armrest or rear deck. I say rear deck too and just use your existing speaker holes.

Try removing ur rear speaker and see how u like that sound... 2 ports right there lol...

I sealed my box into the cabin of my car. Sounds pretty damn good to me, and no rattles. See linky in my sig...

Does anyone have pictures of where they cut a hole into the rear deck for a port?? Because i took my rear speakers out and used those holes for a port and it sounded great.

I did it guys an it sounds good but i used the armrest so wen i close it its closed but i still have a usable armrest lol
