ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Hey, I'm swapping my part car's H23 intake onto my F22a1 (I drive a prelude S, if that matters) will swapping in a pt6 run my motor as normal, but still control the butterflies?

    Thanks,

Use the P12 ecu you got there, the PT6 is designed to run with an A6 cam.

This is going to be a debated topic about the butterflys. People say run them like they should, hook them to vacuum, or just get rid of the plate. Honestly ive had 2 Accords with butterflys hooked up to vacuum and I didnt have a problem with either. It gave it a really gnarly growl. Makes dumb people think you have a v6 or something and they dont wanna race you because of 2 extra pistons.

Or swap in an A6 cam and use the PT6.

on your intake manifold on the far right side... you'll see 2 vacuum lines. the top one is for cruise control so if you dont want it then just pull it off and put your vacuum line from your diaphragm for the butterfly valves to it. or you can get a plastic t-fitting from the parts store and pair both vacuum lines to that one port. Basically any port going into the manifold will have vacuum on it.

We allow it as long as you aren't working your way to 30 posts...

As for a vacuum source, vac is vac.

Hook them up properly, it makes a huge difference.

If you hook them up to vacuum, the second you hit the throttle any more than 1/8th they will open up, which pretty much defeats the purpose...

Also, my F22A1 ran just fine with a PT6 for over a year before I installed my F22A6 cam.

People have different results with the PT6. It won't hurt anything, but it won't exactly be a performance upgrade.
