Is it worth it or not

I just a 1990 2 door accord lx automatic for 100 bucks with the intention of fixin it or sellin it.

the main problems are
transmission starts in 3rd gear for 1 and 2 but d3 d4 is 4th.
reverse makes a loud grinding/buzzing sound and doesn't work
engine is lopey I think the timing belt jumped a tooth.
water pump leaks fom weephole
timing belt is loose
radiator has big crack on top ( i jb welded it but don't know how long it will hold)
exhaust is broken from flex pipe flange on manifold side.
exhaust is broken at flange over rear tire

little problems
drivers door handle busted
needs drivers corner light
needs pass turn signal light
leaks or burns oil
minor rust in back
power steering belt looks bad
ac system empty
passenger side front spring broken on bottom coil car slightly lower on that side

I already cleaned the shift valves and change the fluid
the ecm for the trans has a few bad resistors my friend is fixin that tonight
if that fixes the trans i'll go ahead and do the water-pump and timing belt

do you guys think it's worth fixin or no....

I already have 2 other cars a 86 corolla 4 door auto carborated daily driver and a 89 prelude si 5 speed with 350k miles

I would like to replace the corolla with the accord since it's newer and more powerfull or put a h22 in the accord since it's a bolt on for these since my prelude can't direct swap anything cheap

the accord made it 80 miles to my house on the highway without over heating or anything which is surprising since the water pump and radiator were leakin...

i agree. it'll be cheaper to swap a F motor than to repair it.

I agree. find another motor and tranny and call it a day. Or do the H swap, and put it in your $100 frame... Sounds good to me.

the trans is my major concern......

My 92 was doing the same thing. In 1st or 2nd it was in 2nd gear. And in 3rd and 4th it was in 4th gear. The D4 light was on but didn't flash any codes. Ended up being the tcu.

For $100 I think it is worth fixing up. Motor swap isnt that hard. Keep it FTW!

$100 for the car. $200 for a decent F22Ax with a tranny.
Good running car for less than $500. Sell it for $1000

I'm not sure about there but even if the car has serve damage from rust or a previous crash repair you can always scrap it. I've gotten between 140-170 for each car I scraped here in Houston. Before they required to have titles I got cars donated then towed them with my tow dolly, took off all the parts worth selling on ebay, took out the main copper wires for the starter and battery, then took it to the scrap yard. I still remember spending $40 on gas and making 200 in one day over and over.

the body is in pretty good shape for the year little dents and dings but it's black so you don't see all the imprfections anyways.

i just changed the trans computer and the shift solonoids and it shifts now but reverse is still grinding most the time.

Anyone know if the bands are adjustable so i can get reverse workin or should i give up on the transmission.....
